Pricing for extended members depends on two factors:

  • Cover Amount: The selected cover amount for each member will impact the pricing.

  • Age: The age of the extended members will influence the premium cost. Older members may have a slightly higher premium due to the increased risk.

The cost for extended members generally ranges from R5000 to R20,000, depending on the cover amount and the number of members included in the plan.

Can I choose a different cover amount for each extended member?

Yes, you have the flexibility to select different cover amounts for each extended member. This allows you to tailor the coverage to the needs of each family member or dependent.

What happens if I exceed the maximum number of lives (22) under the plan?

What are the terms and conditions of the Funeral Cover?

  • Waiting Periods:

  • 3-month waiting period for death due to natural causes.

  • No waiting period for accidental death.

  • 12-month waiting period for death by suicide.

  • Claims Payout: Claims will be processed and paid out within 48 hours after all necessary documentation is received and approved.

  • Policy Lapse: The funeral cover will lapse after 2 consecutive missed premiums.

  • Children Coverage: The policy covers up to 6 children.

  • Maximum Entry Age: The maximum entry age for this cover is 65 years.

  • Children Covered: Children are covered up to the age of 25.

  • Repatriation Benefit (SADEC): The SADEC repatriation benefit premium is included in the final premium. This ensures that repatriation costs are covered within the Southern African Development Community (SADEC) region.

  • Cooling-Off Period: There is a 31-day cooling-off period from the date of activation, during which you can cancel the policy and receive a full refund of premiums paid (less any claims made).
